A rather simple recipe with uncommon ingredients but ultimately scrumptious.

We start with White Whole Wheat Flour from King Arthur Flour and mix it with 1 tablespoon baking powder. Add 1 cup of slivered almonds and 2 tablespoons of dried lavender flowers, mix well. Food grade lavender flower buds are available at The Spice House. Lastly 1/2 cup water, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract and 1 1/2 cups of clover honey which I get from Dakotahoney located in Hettinger, North Dakota with seemingly endless fields of yellow clover.

It is raw, unfiltered honey with very nice floral accents nicely complementing the lavender. Mixing is a rather sticky business but feasible, so press the dough into the bottom of a prepared 9 x 13-inch pan.

Bake in a 300° oven for about 40 minutes, or until golden brown.

it's about time again for the sports event of the year and Pepsi had these aluminum bottles made for it.

But how do you like the nice green lawn, you can tell it's winter in Tempe when grass turns a luscious green, haha.
